The Human Race Makes Me Sick

Ok, now that the shock has passed watch those again thinking about this kid's family and friends. Imagine it was your best friend, child, or sibling. Now think about how he probably hated his job but did it just for some money to support his family and died because of that. Imagine all of the things that he had planned for the weekend. He had a hearty meal with his family the night before talking to them about life, what he's thankful for, how even though he has a shitty job, he still has those little pleasures that get him through the day. Now think about that all coming to an end on the floor of a wal-mart being trampled by foaming at the mouth frothing idiots that are there just to save a couple of dollars. How ironic that people killed this person so selfishly to save money so that they could buy for others and claim that they are not selfish. I'm sure someone saw him go down and saw that he was struggling and refused to help him. I'm sure someone felt something under their feet and refused to check it. I'm sure someone took notice of the red footprints they were leaving in the store and refused to do anything about it. Why would they? Someone may get to the item they want before them and take the last one so that they can't save three bucks on Malibu Barbies dream house or whatever. How much did these people save? Was it worth the cost? Watch this and tell me if you think it was.

It's times like this that we should all take a step back and ask ourselves if this "holiday" is really worth this or should we maybe look more at spending time with our family instead of money on them. Maybe it's time to turn off the TV for a while, unplug the internet for a day and spend time with those that are important to us instead of trying to show how much we care by spending as little as possible on the biggest gift we can give. Or maybe it's time that the human race become extinct.
